La Costa Bandits - 26 World Series Wins, Now Look to Future
by Staff Writer
The La Costa Bandits baseball team finished the 2007 Triple Crown World Series with a 7-2
record earning 3rd place. Over the past four years, the La Costa Bandits have championed a
combined World Series record of 26-6 placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (twice). Their successes are
magnified when considering the Bandit players are all from a local league "LCYO" and community
whereas the majority of opponents draw from multi-county and even multi-state boundaries.
The Bandits have been together since 2003 as 8-9 year olds, playing baseball nearly year around,
learning the finer details of baseball, but the 2007 season will end the journey of this team as the
boys from hereon will continue down separate pathways. Along with becoming one of the finest and
most respected teams in the country, they have built friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
A Bandit celebration will be held in honor of the players, coaches, families and memories.
Congratulations Bandits and good luck in the future! We have been blessed!
